Food Allergies: How to Keep Students and Staff Safe at School

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The most recent data from the state’s Center for Health Statistics show that nearly 100,000 children in New Jersey suffer from food allergies. No wonder managing food allergies in the school setting presents ongoing challenges for every school district. The New Jersey Department of Education receives feedback each year from parents and other constituents suggesting that schools are not consistently developing and implementing effective policies and programs in compliance with the state’s requirements. Session participants will learn how their districts can adopt comprehensive policies on food allergies.
