Robots in Special Education Classrooms

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Warren County Special Services School District and TEQ are working together on a pilot program which uses an animated robot to assist special needs students with their social, emotional and life skills. The Humanoid Robot Academic Edition, called NAO - H25, is capable of listening, speaking, walking and recognizing facial expressions. In an inclusive classroom environment, NAO teaches children with autism about the subtleties of human communication and emotion while, at the same time, sparking interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) in the general education students so that all may be engaged and successful.
